Kublai Khan is a rich chestnut stallion of extreme type. He is an excellent moving, well conformed individual and he invariably passes these traits onto his progeny, along with his great temperament.
Kublai Khan was shown sparingly as a young colt before being retired to stud. His achievements include:
Victorian State Champion Colt - Yearling
Winner of purebred colt class at Royal Melbourne Show as yearling, 2 y.o and 3 y.o
Reserve Champion Intermediate Colt SEAHAC A Class All Arabian Show.
He is the sire of multi A class champions as well as an Australian Top 10 colt His foals are now beginning to make their mark under saddle with AA class supreme champion, Dara Park Kyron leading the way.
Kublai Khan is a half brother to top endurance gelding, Regency Park Aires
Kublai Khan is also the 2005 winner of the coveted Chipala Award for the sire of the most successful progeny at the Victorian Arabian Horse Classic
We are very proud of his achievements as a sire of quality horses who are capable of performing both as halter horses and under saddle.
Most of Kublai Khan's purebred and pony daughters have been retained by us as they are outstanding broodmares. He has been used predominately over our own mares and so has a limited number of his foals out in other hands. Even so, all of his foals that have been broken to saddle have proven themselves outstanding saddle horses. They have been shown both led and under saddle. All are obviously arabian and have done exceptionally well in both open and arabian ridden classes. All of his foals are easily handled from a very young age and are a pleasure to have around.
