Om El Akid
Imp USA
Om El Akid is a yearling colt of the very best breeding, being by the US National Champion AOT stallion, Om El Shahmaan and from the Estopasan daughter, Om El Akiva.  His sire is internationally known as an absolutely stunning individual who combines superb phenotype with reliably superior genotype.   He is the next step in the breeding program of the renowned Om El International stud.  His dam, Om El Akiva, is a full sister to European  Junior Champion,  Om El Gemala Estopa.

Om El Akid (Imp USA) is the first and, to date, only son of Om El Shahmaan to come to Australia.  He will not be shown here until he is much older as he is easily five to eight months younger than his contempories.   Therefore our open day was a great opportunity to see him in person whilst he is still young.

Frank and I would like to thank all those that made Akid's Presentation Day such a success.  Thanks must especially go to Michelle  for doing  such a good  job of training and preparing Akid for the weeks leading up to the 6th of April.  Thanks must also go to the myriads of other people, including those that ran trade stalls, that helped prepare for the day.  In addition, I'd also like to thank Jenny Fairweather of Leading Designs for supplying Akid with a lovely halter and breastplate for his presentation.  A very appreciative thankyou is also extended to Jai Cookman for her lovely flyers showcasing Akid and our mares.

Of course we'd also like to thank all those that came to see our gorgeous boy and remind people that he will be available for viewing for another few weeks at our farm.  So anyone that missed out on the opportunity to see him in person or that  simply wishes to have another look at him in his own environment is welcome to make an appointment.  As I will be teaching during the day, it will be appreciated if appointments are kept to weekends.  After this Akid will then be turned out for the winter to be a baby in his own paddock.

NEWSFLASH!!
OPEN DAY 2009

We are once again running an open day at our farm.  The date for this is the 16th of March, 2009 which is the Monday between the 2009 Victorian Classic and The 2009 Australian Championships.  The day will commence at 2pm with a parade of stallions to commence at 2.30pm.  Om El Akid (Imp USA) will come home from training at Landohle Park to be paraded at this time and to greet visitors.  He will be joined by our senior stallion, Kublai Khan.  Then visitors will be treated to a leisurely walk around our farm to meet our show team and breeding stock.  Light refreshments will be available.

Om El Akid (imp USA) will then leave again at 4pm to return to Landohle Park to prepare for his event at the championships the following Saturday.  He will return home straight after this and will be available for viewing for a few weeks afterwards for anyone that could not make it to our Open Day.

Come and see our stallions and our wonderful mares and their foals.  Several quality purebred females and males will be available for purchase and maybe viewed before this day also..

We look forward to seeing you all there.  Directions to Dara Park from Werribee are very easy as all you do is get onto the Monash Freeway and follow it towards Warragul, leaving the highway only at the Bunyip turnoff.  Follow this road until you cross the railroad and turn immediately left onto Longwarry-Nar Nar Goon Road.  Our property is on the right  about 0.7km after the Bunyip River Bridge at 1610 and is marked by our stud board.
